Per the specs, it grants 3 years of use, then you must reach out and request another 3 year term.

Of course, all dependent on the company remaining afloat.

So, I was all ready to move a good chunk of my development to CodeAnywhere. It seemed like it was a decent service, and allowed me to pack a lighter rig for travel and still get to my code from anywhere.

But the more I researched, the more people I found that recommended steering clear. I can't site actual Blog posts as it was some time ago that I was considering it, but you should be able to Google it yourself. But, what most of them said was that the TOS for using the CodeAnywhere states that they could, potentially, claim ownership of your code. Similar to how Facebook takes ownership of your pictures you post. I don't know how true this is, but that was enough to make me steer clear of it.

I would go with Cloud9 or Codenvy over this personally.

Terms of Service
Using Codeanywhere
... Codeanywhere.com claims no intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the Service. Your profile and materials uploaded remain yours...

Of course 'Codeanywhere.com reserves the right to change and/or update the Terms of Service without prior notice.' so we do not know how those terms will change in a lifetime.

I'm still interested to hear from users with more experience if that is in fact a good deal.

I rather have 3.5yr with Amazon Cloud9 for this price over this "Lifetime".

These people are common thieves. I made a purchase from them and never even had a response after emails and non responsive calls. Had to escalate my case to PayPal claims.
