I have this TV, not very happy with it. Terrible black levels. It's okay for the price, but a few hundred dollars more will get you a much better TV. I bought off eBay with hopes that it would look good, it was a let down. If someone wants to buy it from me, pm me, lol. $600. Northern Los Angeles county.

Yes, but I wish they had rated it lower.

60" TV models get neglected across all brands. Hard to find a 60" with true HDR with good brightness and black levels. Sucks because a 60" would be the best size for basement.

Agreed! My bother in law called me the other day complaining how he was duped into buying a 1080P TV when he was told it was 4K with HDR
As I went through something similar with my first one, I told him it probably has hdr but just named something else and that it has to be enabled on the HDMI port.
Sure enough, it was buried in some sub menu called ULTRA DEEP COLOR with no hint that it was HDR... get over yourself LG lol

A TV you watch Mork and Mindy on? Get it?! Nanu Nanu?! lol I am not ashamed but I should be.

It's actually one of the few tech marketing terms that actually does explain what it is and not just trying to come up with something that is competing to sound like it came out of a Philip K. Dick novel lol.

It refers to the dots on the display that are so small that nanometers is the best way to measure them. Now what that actually means is less impressive as it's something about improving color quality for viewing angles in say a living room situation with many people vying for the best seat.... yawn Smilie

Lol gave you rep for acknowledging my attempts to help and entertain. Thanks for the "helpful" click, you know, the button that's not so far from the give rep option... cough cough. Smilie

They still haven't really implemented the helpful not helpful feature to any great use that I can tell but I mostly use this forum as the app.

As far as nano cell thing, I was glad you mentioned it because I had to look it up myself. I'm already fed up with my second attempt at a good 4K TV, Samsung 6300 2017 model, that feels like I'm not compromising and bare minimum getting a better picture than the 1080P TV it replaced as well as it getting better when the content becomes more available and used to enhance the movie and not just a gee golly reaction (if you're wondering what killed the Samsung for me, it's because it's the dimmest TV I've ever owned so constantly having to tweak it so see).

There is still apparently no consensus among manufacturers about adhering to a standard and basic minium spec and using all kinds of marketing language that you don't know is just some algorithm to kind of improve content or a legitimate improvement.
It's the most exhausting tech generation I've gone through and feel more than burned by it... the thing is I don't really care about the whole 4K thing with movies as it brings very little to the experience unless you have an unusual viewing situation.
HDR though I'm sold on because I've seen it done really right a few times but good examples are few and far between. I'd be fine with HDR on a 1080P display but manufacturers are never going to give us that option because there's too much stuff to push on us that we have to buy to transition to 4K Frown
