Of course this comes around now after I already got mine last year. This is the best combo since it's the brushless Gen 5 kit and when you combine it with the free tool it's a great price.

For more savings return the free tool and get back about $90. Get the drills for about $155 after tax or $250 for all 3.

Thanks OP, I got the Drill/Impact Driver combo with a free Impact Wrench to help with tire changes. Don't forget to register the tools within 90 days for the lifetime service agreement.

How does this compare to the dewalt flexvolt drill/driver that was a recent popular deal?

I have the Gen5x, my uncle have the Dewalt. I like the Dewalt better, it seem more sturdy and powerful. But for average home use the Gen5x is great especially with the lifetime service agreement.

Does anyone know if the Ryobi ("BOGO") deal loophole works with other brand's promos?

i.e. Buy Ryobi's Brushless Hammer Drill, get a free tool, return hammer drill, keep "free" tool for promo rate?

Just a heads up, you have to register your tools with Ridgid fairly quickly, otherwise there is no LIFETIME warranty!!!! I ran into this a few years ago, didn't realize until it was too late, but luckily Home Depot did the right thing, and swapped me for a new kit, which I promptly registered.

Your ridgid tools are servicable at any authorized ridgid dealer not counting HD without proof of purchase. Ymmv on the locations of course. I've had a jigsaw fixed that had a jammed blade clamp and a 2.0ah battery that got fried replaced no questions asked.

This is a great kit. This impact driver keeps up with the best of the best out there. It's loud but that's all impacts excluding the newish pulse/oil drivers

Deal works with the 5.0ah battery ( prorated $78) or the 2 pack of 4.0ah batteries (prorated $69). Made more sense and better deal for the 4.0s since i needed more batteries... probably just gift the set or take it back since i own it already. Getting 2 4.0s is a steal for $70.... the kit is well worth $150 too. I own alot of the tools and want to get the folding panel light with this deal too but if you're looking for one to get.... the brushless circ saw is a great deal. All three of the tools and 2 4.0ah batteries is a great deal totaling just under $250

You should be able to return the combo kit but you will get the price broken down. It's in your shopping cart showing the prices per item when you buy like this. I'm sure you have to take the combo together but the "free" tool can be kept and end up with a cheaper price for the free tool than originally set.

My cart shows the combo at $138 and the most expensive free tool I picked ($150 Gen 5 torque wrench) at $90. If you plan to return the free tool pick the most expensive one to get the most back. This is a great deal and I have both these Gen 5 drill/drivers and the Gen5 impact each with the 4.0 battery.

Gen 5X Brushless impact wrench. Just came out last year and it's great.

Anyone starting new should get all three of these in one shot.
