Lowe's in Shakopee MN. Saw 10ft grey conduit Pvc for $. 20 while the 5ft is over $1
I'm using it for curtain rod. Does anyone know if 1/2" is sturdy enough for any other dyi or kid projects.

Curtain rod should work if a) it is supported in the middle and b) your curtains aren't heavy such as thick luxurious ones. Do not use as a closet rod, these aren't meant to be load bearing.

too weak for most purposes.
Good for making hoops (half circle) for tunnels in the garden
OR
a tunnel for kids. throw a blanket (tarp,sheet)- folded narrowly on the ground. jam one end into the ground, bend hoops over the blanket, drive other end into ground, toss a sheet over the hoops for shade/privacy. You can leave the hoops in and just take blanket/sheet inside.
