That I'm not sure. Frown I've never been lucky enough to receive my coupon early enough.

Agree, I also think it's that one, and it does seem to have SSD and not eMMC.

Really dumb question alert! I have a few-year old Chromebook by Acer. There hasn't really been any major updates to the actual Chrome OS, but I notice new Chromebooks keep coming out. What is the differentiator with the newest Chromebooks? I notice the screen resolution is a litter higher which is nice. Just trying to educate myself to see if something was changing in the Chromebook world I wasn't aware of. I don't really use mine much due to the low resolution screen.

You should be getting monthly updates automatically. If not, go into settings and search for updates. My 2012 Acer C710's are all running the same version of Chrome OS as any 2018 Chromebook. My Acers reached Googles End of Life back in October but I'm still getting updates. Since the low res screen prevents you from using it much, I would suggest selling it on Ebay and getting a Chromer with a higher pixel display.

Not sure how you figure that out from information Costco posts. However, I ordered one awhile back that looks very similar to this from a Costco sale. (CB5-571) It has the m.2 interface. After backing up the OS, I put in a MyDigitalSSD 256GB Super Boot drive. (MDM242-SB-256) Works great. I'm guessing you could return it to Costco if it's not the same model.

It would be perfect if it had a touch screen.
