If your ice melts or your drink spills, will the liner contain the liquid leak?

The "hard liner" prevents any leakage.

good deal, the hard liner was a big selling point. so when the ice melts or drink spill, it has an extra protection from going to the material. and its removable too.

I had one very similar, and lost it. I bought another very study one at Cabela's that has no hard liner.

What I quickly learned in that although the hard liner had some perks, it limits what you can put in it. A pyrex that just barely doesn't fit in the hard liner version, is no problem in a soft-sided lunchbox, since it can stretch a little and 'give'.

Also worth noting that even without the hard liner, the interior of this is a solid poly liner, so liquid inside can't soak through to fabric. The insert is definitely easier to clean and convenient if you want to fill with ice, but we've had baby bottles spill inside without it and it was just a matter of turning the soft poly liner inside out to clean it with soap and water at the sink.

Have had this for a couple years and am happy with the quality.

At $7 it's a great deal. I just returned the same one last week to Amazon because I thought it was too small. It was ten bucks. I ordered the next size up yesterday.
