2016 version for more than the 2017 version? Not seeing the point unless you're one of the 4 people still holding on to the notion that 3D TV is going to be a thing in the short term.

3D, It's a feature that the new model is lacking. This is supposedly the best 3d tv ever made.

edit: I'm wrong. This does not have 3D. (I am looking for the version with 3d). I was excited. not excited enough to pull the trigger. Thanks for stopping my itchy fingers!

Except the 2016 B series didn't have 3D. You had to get the C series or higher for 3D. There's no reason to get this whatsoever.

B6 did not have 3D. Only C6 and up.

False. First, Dolby Vision is HDR. It's one of several competing HDR standards.

Second-All 2016 models have not just Dolby Vision but also HDR10 (the other major standard), and also had the newer HLG standard added via firmware update too.



That said- this deal sucks for the non-3D 2016.

(it'd arguably suck for the 3D ones too- but they are the best 3D sets ever made so might be worth it for some few folks)
