I heard there was a low and high quality one is that true? Last time this was posted people kept posting about "the better one"

I love my PSVR but for you folks like me with babies... Good luck ever shutting the real world out long enough to dive in. I get maybe an hour a week in virtual land. Worth it!

At that rate it's going to take you at least a decade to finish Skyrim! :-O

By "better one" they are referring to the 2nd generation PSVR headset. Both of these bundles are for the 2nd gen VR headset. The main difference, and which is also reflected in the price, is that the Skyrim bundle comes with the Move Controllers and the Doom bundle doesn't The Move Controllers are $100 if purchased separately.

I got this last month, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Skyrim, but I could NOT play it in VR as the motion made me instantly nauseous. Using the move controllers is better for nausea, but worse for fighting etc as you cannot even so much as back up without teleporting to do so...it's kind of a hackneyed version to resell with the VR (and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves the original Skyrim.) The graphics are bad and they just tried to put lipstick on the old game, and I could have even lived with that but eventually felt like Alex in A Clockwork Orange having knee buckling green faced motion sickness associated with something beloved. It may not happen to you-- but be ready for it. You'll know from the first 30 seconds. Still, it's the better bundle deal with the move controllers.

The absolute best PSVR game I've played so far is Rush of Blood-- and it's SCARY. The things trying to kill you are life sized and the spookshow atmosphere is spot on, great graphics, and an occasional roller coaster ride. And it's not too expensive. If I had any advice it would be, don't play Skyrim first or the whole thing will seem awkward and poorly designed. If you own the original SW Battlefront-- there is a free Xwing mission in VR you can access thru the main menu and it is AMAZING.

The new one allows HDR pass through if you have an HDR capable TV. The older one, you need to swap the cable from the VR box directly to the TV to get HDR for your regular games. Still works, just a little annoying to do.

If you don't have an HDR capable TV there really isn't anything major different. I think the earphones are located on the headset instead of on the cable and it uses a thinner cable. Quality and screen is exactly the same on both.

For me, I wasn't hooking it up to an HDR TV so went with the cheaper, older model.

Never fails with these deals, my Skyrim bundle was delivered Sunday, only paid $430 so not a lot more but still.

And I just got to try the headset out yesterday for the first time, just played some Playroom VR, Rec Room and Batman. I felt good with most of the games other than one platformer in Playroom where I felt like I was going to fall over the second the screen starting moving with the character. Going to try Skyrim out later, really hoping it isn't the same because that would suck
