Which model? I have the s1000db and these. They both sound good, but the Edifier sounds brighter and the Edifier build quality blow these out of the water. Though there's no sub out on the Edifier.

do you also hate the remote control which makes the rear volume knob superfluous?

Speaking of which, I have a Voicelive 2, with xlr inputs/outputs (and a single coaxial digital output). Can I connect this thing (the Voicelive 2) to my 5.1 stereo? Or it's designed for stereo monitor speakers only?

I have these, love them. They only go on sale about 1x per year or else Amazon messed up the pricing. No complaints on my end running TOSlink (Digital Optical) from my computer.

I added the 10" sub too and my office rocks the house.

Mind sharing the sub info to fellow SDers? I am considering the same setup for my office and the subs that I am looking at are around $400. I don't know if I want to spend that much ... Thanks a lot.
