They are not hiding the HP. They just show it in cc now. It is approx 6 to 6.5 HP.

I bought this in December 2016. Paid $640 on amazon when it was on sale. This is a great deal.

The machine works great and is easy to use. Last year we got dumped on in January and this handled it with no issues. My wife has used it a few times and didn't have any troubles running it.

Hmmm tempting looking to replace my 20 YO Lawnboy. Any SDers have personal experience with this machine?

Awesome thanks. After reading a few reviews pulled trigger at this price. Boston winter isn't over!

Tempting, but I'm holding out for a bigger machine.

considering they are hiding the Horsepower of the engine. I would Pass knowing the engine is most likely Junk. My guess would be it's a 5 HP engine. On a Snowblower you want at least an 7.5 HP engine. of course if you have a small drive way, you might as well shovel!

there was a lawsuit a while back. because hp is an " arrived at " number and tqe can actually be measured, that's all they can claim on small engines these days. at 208 cc it's a LITTLE weak but at this price this is a good deal for most people.

I buy and sell (flip) machines on Craigslist every year, this is a good deal. Brigs is actually one of the better brands. At this price point, for brand new, would absolutely pull the trigger. Much better than comparable piced stuff at Home Depot. It has a few upgraded items that you wouldn't normally find at this price, a headlight and metal chute.
