From experience with Pops, Wal-Mart takes better care with the packaging. Add on items from Amazon tend to come damaged from mishandling. Some people may not care but the value of the POP is highly dependent on the condition of the box.

I buy them because I find them fun. My daughter loves them too and they sit on my tv stand in the living room. They're basically bobble heads.

Could someone please explain why people purchase these things? These have got to be one of the ugliest toys ever invented.
As far as ugliness, the new pops IMO looks better than the original ones. Also Funko have different lines (Check out the new Funko Stranger Things https://www.amazon.com/Funko-Stranger-3PK-Pack-Collectible-Figures/dp/B072KSYHMJ/ref=sr_1_7?s=toys-a... [amazon.com]
This is a repost from another thread I posted.

Funko Pop! Vinyl are collectible figures from various themes/universes. Funko buys licenses from these companies to produce figures. For example, Funko buys a license from Disney to make and distribute figures such as Aladdin, Lion King, etc. Funko can also distribute certain figures to certain places which makes them the "exclusive" seller such as Amazon, FYE, Hot Topic, Walmart, etc and even comic conventions. The number of figures produced, exclusivity, and l licenses issues/expiration can make these POPs go up in price. Some POPs come with a Chase variant which means there's a chance you get different design than the commonly made one. Most Chases are 1/6 chance of getting from a box. They come in the same exact box as the other design and UPC code. These are harder to find and are worth more. Note that these pops aren't wrapped, so if you buy it off the shelf, you know which POP you are getting.
The stickers on the box:
Chase - Rare variant
Exclusive - Only sold at this event or vendor
Flocked - Furry texture added
Glow in the Dark - Glows in the dark (there's a Chase sticker variant for this too)

Marvel and Star War POP's are bobbleheads. All others are figures with turnable heads. I don't post deals for POPs anymore because generally the more common POPs are $5 (like this) or less on Amazon.com and are add-ons. Walgreens has two exclusives for the Pratorian Guard, 3 if you count the older regular one. The problem with Amazon is sometimes the POP's are damaged upon arrival not from shipping. For a collector, damage on the box can decrease or ruin the value of the POP. However, Amazon has a good return/replacement policy. They will send you a replacement in a better packed box. Just note that if you do get a Chase from Amazon.com, you are not guaranteed to get a Chase replacement. Remember, all the common and Chase variants have the same UPC. A lot of people have abused the return policies by buying bulk and returning the commons. Many stores such as Books-a-Million and Hot Topic will not allow you to return a POP that has a chase variant. I know this is a lot of information but this pretty sums up why various people collect these pops and flip them or keep.

There is a POP for almost everything. The only thing I haven't seen a POP for is Nintendo characters. Currently, I am waiting for Mr. Bean, Night King on Viscerion, and Chewbacca riding a AT-ST. Yes, this hobby can get expensive.

Hell yeah, I've been looking for this exact figure but wanted to avoid Amazon since they've been so hit or miss with their packaging on these. Thanks OP!
