Target is offering $250 Target gift card with the Pixel 2 XL on a new line or upgrade on Verizon. Not as good as previous deals as this only applies to the XL. Offer valid in store 1/28/18 to 2/3/18

"offer details" says "$250 gift card available in store with a select Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL qualified activation on Verizon.

Pixel 2 offer is not showing up on their website

I went to Target yesterday after seeing that section in the "offer details", and wasted 1 hour. Manager at phone section stated that was a mistake and would not honor the gift card offer. Printed circular makes it very clear that this only applies to the XL.

Also, doesn't work for business accounts. Apparently, Target doesn't know how to pull up business accounts. Wasted 2 trips to Target on their previous promotion.

Even if this were to work, what's the total cost here? Around $920 after tax and (probably) another $30 for activation (because Verizon likes to pull crap like that). So your out-of-pocket is $700.

I haven't kept up: is that actually a deal?

It's the best deal right now for a brand new Pixel XL. You can save additional money if you pay down a bulk of the phone cost in store using Target Redcard to save 5%. Also, you may be able to get the $30 activation fee credited by calling Verizon customer service. You can also cancel service within 3 days to save the $30 activation fee. From what I've seen looking at prices of used Pixel XL's they are around $650 to $700 so if you can find use for the $250 gift card this is the better deal.

I'm also seeing an option with the text "with upgrade" and no mention of Verizon. I wonder what they definitely that as. I have a replacement unlocked Nexus 6p that just went bootloop after 9 months with Sprint I'm looking to replace since they won't do anything for me.

$861 phone + ~$50 sales tax - $250 gift card = $661. There is also a $30 activation fee you can avoid by cancelling service in 3 days or if you sweet talk Verizon customer service into crediting it.

Approximately.. depends on the tax rate for your state. Target also offers a 14 day return policy with no restocking fee so if a better deal comes along in the next 2 weeks you can always return the phone.

Thanks!! also heard somewhere tmobile has/had an offer where if you switch from VZ to tmobile and bring in your pixel phone they will pay off the balance?? Does anyone know anything about that, how it works? if the deal still exists maybe people could double dip on this one?
