If you pair it with a non-verizon phone you can make calls but they can't hear you while you can hear them. Not impressed with the watch. My Pebble 2 is much better.

no heart rate monitor, no light sensor, no nfc payment, no removable wrist band.
Seems to be missing all the essentials.
It's also 50 bucks.

This sounds like a great deal - 50 bucks for a fully round OELD display. Don't care much for NFC, LTE or heart rate, location or other spy sensors. Just a good display to have fun with watch faces and standard wear functionality to interact with the phone without pulling it out of the pocket is easily worth this much to me.

They were not two for $75, they were $75 each if you bought two. I bought one before, and loved it, then bought two more for gifts. The missing heart rate monitor is useless in my opinion, I have other smart watches with that feature, and no NFC, who cares. I don't use it as a phone, so the band is replaceable for me.You can only use it as a phone if you have Verizon, and add it to your account as an additional phone line. Can't imagine it being much use as a phone, anyway. I'm not Dick Tracy!
I got 2 for $75.

That's why it's 50 dollars. Even old devices with all those features command a higher price.

Heart rate monitors and step tracking on watches are goofy anyway. I drove 10 hours and by just driving, my Hauwei watch said I walked 10,00 steps... while sitting in the car. I get 5,000 steps by sitting at my desk working. Basically stupid. It would probably work for actually counting steps, however being on your wrist is a horrible place for it.

GPS would have been nice to do any running without the need of a cellphone, but whatever, I don't run.

Most importantly are getting notifications from your mobile.

The bands look like are screwed in, will it work with any regular bands? Do you have a link that shows how to replace the bands? I looked before and couldn't find one. Thanks.
Apparently the cellular antennas are built into the bands (according to android authority review). At that probably not replaceable.

However, if you don't use cellular, and want to jerry rig something together, I'm sure its not impossible Smilie What do you have to lose at $50

Most sites I see report that this has a built in GPS. Can anyone confirm that there is no on device GPS?

There's no NFC chip in the watch, therefore no Android Pay.
This is not true. The watch DOES have NFC, but they have never made it functional with Android Pay. Since they have pretty much abandoned the product, it's doubtful they'll ever activate it.

Proof: https://www.verizonwireless.com/s...se-209381/

And I really doubt it's as easy as installing the APK, otherwise people would have chimed in already.

Got one of these last week... I do have Verizon Wireless, added it on the plan for the hell of it to try it out. You do NOT need to add it to the plan.

-I use Verizon Messages regardless due to being able to text on my iPad as well as my Android Phone. I heard this is a moot point not being able to add Android Messages as the default app.
-You can make/receive calls on the watch if you link your Verizon account with it, even if you don't enable cellular. Pretty cool.
-Speaker is useless. Make sure you pair some bluetooth headphones/speaker with it.
-Google Play Music is the only standalone music app you can really use. The other apps just end up connecting to your phone to play music on there. This is an Android Wear limitation.
-Battery life isn't bad. I have no problem getting through my work day with it.
-No NFC/Android Pay. Bummer. Probably will never come.
-Watch will probably never get any more major updates. Plan on this: what you see is what you get.

I bought this to temporarily replace a broken fitbit charge HR. Boy did I get my monies worth (paid $60 at the time of purchase). I lost the Heartrate Sensor, but I honestly never used it anyway as accuracy was debatable.

Nice to have weather on the watch now, and a whole bunch of other features.

In conclusion, I feel I'm only getting the most out of it because I have a Verizon, and use Verizon Messages. Regardless, $50 is a steal for an Android Wear 2.0 SmartWatch with step tracking
I was contemplating this but since it's not getting any updates, it's very worrisome BUT Google has decided to update these watches features mostly through the android wear app and google play services so there have been some features that are not dependent on the watch being on Android wear Oreo so that's the good news.

Beware of this company. You'll notice that most commenters here have extremely low rep. They are probably shills. I ordered once from Tech Rabbit and got a used, dirty product, as did many others. Multiple emails go unanswered. l still have not received a refund after shipping the item back to them. Good luck.
