That is a problem with kids learning soccer in this country. I'm sure kids in Brazil, or Spain start with a full size ball from day one. Don't know why we use size 3 and 4 balls. Start with the real thing.

Pretty certain you are incorrect, I'll confirm with my sons two Brazilian born coaches. US Soccer mandates the sizes, and we follow basically Europes lead on a lot of things since we are no where near a leading soccer nation.

The reason is that that balls are scaled to their size and strength. This is a dumb comment. the reason those other countries are better at soccer is because their elite athletes live and breathe soccer. They literally play all the time. That is a lot more rare in the US.

Thanks OP! We have this ball in Orange and it's perfect for practice.

For the OP and those considering this ball, you may want to update the thread, but here is the same ball in Light Blue for $6.08 Add On (but can use the Alexa trick): https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Per...th=1&psc=1

Or here is the same ball in Orange for $8.76 Add On (once again can use Alexa trick): https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Per...th=1&psc=1

Thanks OP as I never would have looked at those again if you didn't post!

Those are 'Glider', or the cheapest materials version. This ball is much, much better. Higher quality materials and it's bonded instead of being stitched.

The one the OP posted is actually a different (and better) ball.

you are definitely wrong...

in fact, brazilians are often playing futsal with smaller, heavier balls.

how's a 4 year old supposed to learn to control a ball if it's 1/4 of his height?

Ahhh...interesting. So if you look at the first picture, it shows the Top Glider model. The rest of the pictures actually do show the Replica model which is better than the Top Glider and not near the price point of the game ball model. I saw that first picture and thought they were all the top glider, but I do see the difference. I do hope you all get the Replica model at this price as I do like the thermal bonding and texture on that ball much better than the Top Glider.

I ordered this in December and received the 'Top Training' version which is very similar to the old Replique in the title. Still a much better ball than Glider for the price.
