This isn't a particularly good deal. Emirates has individual tickets in the $450 range to Athens all the time. However, the list price is often in teh $900 range, so its a reasonable sale. But know that they come up all the time.

I'm currently in Italy, biting the $459 deal for 5D4N at a 4-star hotel in Milan with RT ticket Emirates JFK-MXP. So yeah, this one is not that slick.

If it's as good as the other deal, it's still a deal, if the other is a deal Smilie

But good to know it's one that comes up fairly often.

This is not as slick as the Athens deal from EWR a few months ago for $300 and change round trip.

I did this 3 years ago for the same price. Delta/Alitalia matched back then, but must buy two tickets. I hopped a train to Florence for most of the trip. This is a much better airline than any discount TATL carrier.

I can't replicate the Newark to Athens deal at all.

I flew on Emirates last year with the JFK to Milan deal, amazing!

we did this same deal a few years ago. better than most deals because it was more flexible to schedule flights. many time you see a airline deal the available flights are very minimal (Red eye, long layover, etc.).

also note this airline is way better than your typical US based airline as far as service goes.
