Not sure I agree with @yash21 and @phantomking. I just used this laptop daily for a month (this exact config from Costco) and was pleased that the fans didn't run constantly. Only slightly warm to the touch during normal web browsing/MS Word/etc. If you have a game going, you'll get fan noise and throw some heat, but still quieter than my Surface Book (without discrete graphics). Honestly, the noise/heat were not really an issue, but I never gamed that seriously. My biggest complaint was that the 4k display isn't amazing quality. I never found specs for the color reproduction, but it isn't hot. Compared to my Surface Book (which has one of the better screens), this paled in comparison. 4k is also not the most useful resolution on a 13.3" screen. The keyboard layout is also a bit annoying.

No fingerprint reader or Windows Hello camera.

Otherwise, about the best deal you can find on an ultrabook style machine with discrete graphics. I looked long and hard, and this led the pack. What I really want is the Dell XPS 13 with Vega or MX150 graphics, then I'd be all set...

They refused a return of a 1 1/2 year old toothbrush and that's why you canceled your membership? Wow. A little bit entitled there.

I haven't seen this config elsewhere. This is the fully loaded model, and most places don't stock $1500 machines from the Envy line - they go for the Spectre.

Does it allow charging via the USB-C port?

If I had not HP x360 I'd buy this from Costco. For only one reason. Return policy. For HP you have got to have that as a must!!

Costco only offers 90-day return on laptops... or has that policy changed?
