Man I'm really struggling to buy RAM and a GPU right now. These deals keep popping up, and I wonder if it's worth it...

I have PSU, Case, CPU, Mobo, HDs

I think this is worth it if you don't mind the refurbish. I believe the CPU is still near $250, Ram 32GB is still $300, the 1070 is near $400-500.

Even if you just keep 16GB of this ram and the GPU, I would venture you can sell the computer on craigslist for $500 (with it being without the 16gb ram you took out and a simple GPU in place of the 1070 you're taking out.) Downside is that you'll have no warranty on the GPU or the RAM you keep if they go bad.

It looks like a prototype for something on the Stargate set.

Don't under estimate the financial resourcefulness of motivated 12 year olds.

That case is like crystal meth to them.

Where are you finding a 1070 for $400 to $500 lol. More like $700 minimum. Sold mine for $900 actually. (ROG STRIX edition though)

I was only pricing the average price (in my opinion) instead of these crazy high prices recently. Got my Asus GTX 1080 two weeks ago for $580 on newegg.
