Bought one to have when we take the side by side out. Hate having cords running to the outlet. I'll just throw phone and this in the glove box and let it charge.

This is monocrystalline...does it make more sense to buy a polycrystalline one? heard that poly ones are way more efficient than mono.

Do they make poly ones at this size?

Anything with a solar cell charge is pretty much a gimmick. It would probably take about 1month to charge this 15k battery. Good price though !

I purchased 4 LeTV chargers 13.5k with dual ports and love them!! $14.99 Amazon.

+1 that the solar panel here is basically useless. Keeping a battery in the hot sun is the surest way to ruin it.

The idea is cool, but these are too small to be of much use.

I have a Goal Zero Nomad 7.. and even that takes a long time to charge something in direct sun.

I remember reading an article someplace about backpacking saying that it's more efficient to carry a few charged battery backups rather than a solar charger.

Problem is it will work right as per description, but those are optimal conditions. 48 hours of strong direct sunlight needed to charge. Even the description says to charge via cable, solar only in emergency. So if you just want this as a battery backup it will be great. If you think you will not have to charge it via cable due to the solar panels- cancel your order now.

It takes about a week to fully charge with only solar.

Got one, ty. Dollar is probably a gimmick, but 15k for 15 bucks is not awfully bad. Needed high capacity charger anyway Smilie
