I know it was much cheaper last year at 100 dollars but for those looking for this at lower than the normal 150 dollar price this appears to be the best deal right now. With promo code 80130EDSP078

Recently purchased my very first Hdhomerun connect and gotta say that I am very happy with it, was able to pull about 48 channels in NOVA Fairfax area with Fox,ABC, CW, ABC, PBS, NBC,CBS and more, did not know that I can get all those channels free over the air!!! Pretty awesome!!!

And with Plex Pass I can watch it outside of my network.
Plex combined with Hdhomerun is pure awesomeness!!! (Btw used some cheap $10 generic leaf anthenna from Amazon).

Thank you OP, gonna pick this up for my brother in law!!!

Sinclair areas are rapidly launching ATSC 3.0 by 4Q this year. You will still be able to get ATSC 1.0 but it will be at the lowest legal resolution and bitrate possible.

What version ATSC (1,3?) is this one? What would be the best antenna for this for someone living out in the boonies? I have tried some of those leaf 50 mile type antennas and there are some days I can get all the channels, & others where abc/fox drop and no amount of fiddling with the antenna helps. What I would really like to do is throw something in the attic that feeds this & the tv in the other rooms. I'd need a quality splitter for that I am guessing, would I also need a powered booster too?

Check your tower locations at tvfool.com, then get appropriate antenna from Amazon. If your towers are all in approximately the same location (i.e. nearest city), a directional Wingard would probably be ideal. I paid ~$50 for it from Amazon. I live about 40 miles from the towers and pick up 40-50 channels.

IIRC a booster is only boosting signal after the antenna receives it. You'd use this if you are splitting it multiple ways or on long runs.

With this HDHomerun I don't see why you would need to split it ... this box will provide you 4 tuners, so you could in theory run 4 different TV's simultaneously.

FYI - I'm a newegg member and the price came up as 121.94 with free shipping, and the promo code wasn't being accepted.

Have this...it's awesome. I had been on the fence about these hdhomerun connects (both the duo and the quattro) as many people said it sucked over wifi. That has not been an issue for me at all. I stream via wifi to 3 devices at once with no problems. My router is netgear ac1900... Anyway it's good.
