My local Home Depot (Reston, VA) has leftover RIDGID 18v Gen5X Brushless 4pc Limited Edition Combo Kits presumably from Black Friday priced @ $299, originally $398.

-Hammer drill (R86116)
-3-speed impact driver (R86037)
-Angle grinder (4-1/2″) (R86041)
-Circular saw (7-1/4″) (R8653)
-Two(2) 4.0Ah battery packs (R840087)
-Charger (R840095)
-Carrying bag

All tools are the same specs as their normal tools. The only difference with the Limited Edition is the color scheme.

This is a YMMV deal.

You can read more about this product lineup @ http://toolguyd.com/ridgid-18v-br...eme-h2017/

Details are limited on the Home Depot website.

Thanks for your post.

For reference it was this price on Black Friday and it has been the price online since BF.

Hey fellow Slickdealers,

I missed out on the last deal for $229 yesterday because of the bad dating home depot had on their website. My question is this: Would this $299 "deal" also have the LSA or lifetime service agreement that the $229 deal had. I'm thinking all Ridgid power tools would have this free lifetime service? Or maybe just the brushless power tools?

Thank you in advance for any advice or info.

Yes, this comes with the LSA, BUT you must register within 90 days of purchase. I recommend registering as soon as you unbox the items.

I bought this at my Home Depot tonight while picking up my $229 + Free Tool deal. This was located by the tool boxes near the Pro Desk in my store, not by the rest of the tools.

I couldn't decide which was slicker, so brought both sets home. I think I'm going to cannibalize the $229 set, keep the Free 1/2" impact gun and Batteries/Charger and then sell the rest.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find this deal on the Home Depot website. I just bought the $229 + free tool yesterday and came across this today in HD by the Pro checkout counter.

I was lucky enough to finagle the $229 deal even though it technically expired on the 24th for in-store purchase. The signage was still up and Home Depot has a policy of honoring the deal if they don't take it down.

Use brickseek.com to check if your local HD has inventory.
SKU: 629333
Internet #: 301913908
UPC: 648846070063

If brickseek shows your local store has inventory, good luck getting an employee to know what you are looking for. Your best bet is to wander the store and look at end caps and look around the pro desk for a display. If you still dont see them laying around down on the floor level, check the stock above the tool aisle for obvious Ridgid tool sets or plain brown boxes labeled with the SKU of 629333 (just look for anything ending with 333).
I bought 2 of these sets 2 weeks ago when this was first posted on SD.

Yes, All Ridgid tools come with a lifetime service agreement. Batteries sold with tools are included in the LSA but stand alone batteries are not. And stand alone non-tools such as the Ridgid radio and flashlight only have a 3 year warranty.

Debating if the $70 is worth the extra saw and grinder.

If you ever plan to buy the saw or grinder, then yes. Those two tools would be $258 alone. I have a corded circular saw but the 18v will be really nice for quick projects or working where there isn't power easily accessible.

Like practically all Home Depot clearance items, online information about price and availability (including brickseek) will most likely be inaccurate. If you want it, you'll need to actually go to the store and look for it.

I looked on brickseek earlier for every store around my area, and they all said zero. Just went to my local store and they had at least 8 of these stacked on a shipper. Definitely don't count on brickseek for this.

Wow. That's amazing you got them to honor that deal. Now I regret not trying. I would've preferred that deal over this one. Good on you.
