By Apple standards yes this is a good deal on a high end MacBook Pro (although not for me). This model is $2699 on the Apple refurbished site right now.

wow people... this actually was a good deal. The regular price on this thing is around 3500. There has been very little change in the models since this one came out . (the 2017 model really only changed to the newer version of the video card, but that was only about a 5% performance increase)
