I've used curved monitors for years for gaming and I'd never go back. That said, I've not been happy with curved TV's for gaming (tried a Samsung 9000 series, which has an amazing anti-glare screen, but was still too much glare and strain on my eyes). I'm currently using a 38" Acer, it's 2k res vs this 4k, but that works for me fine. however, for the money, and if you don't mind a glossy screen (more glossy than most monitors), this might work for you. I also found 43"-49" to be the sweetspot, max size for my taste, but I've heard of many people loving their 55" Samsungs for gaming... So definitely a bunch of subjective opinion stuff going on... But I'd say with considering.

We have a curved screen, and it's amazing how they designed it so you can't perceive the curve while watching. Also makes for an interesting statement piece (not the standard black box).

I got the UN55MU650 at Costco on clearance for 499.97. Additional 2 year warranty was $30 because it was under $500. They had a bunch left.
