Not a good price. Doesn't matter if it is cheaper than other places, it is still $2-300 more than it should be. No one should be giving retailers money for these things, at this price point.

If you use now in stock, you can regularly find them for $830 which still isn't good, but better than this.

This will get tons of thumbs down. Most don't understand supply and demand. All we(SDer) care about is price.
IMO I think you are better off buying prebuilt system if you really want 1070/1080ti.

If someone really wants a 1080ti, they have them in stock at Microcenter for less price gouging. $800-$900 range for non-reference style

Stupid miners single handedly ruining PC gaming. 1080 ti should be at about $600 at this point, not a "deal" of $1000

Elite members at evga have access to many cards at MSRP. Even regular non-elitist get that price many days if you check stock when they restock. Make 100 posts on their forum and you can be an elite member too.

Why are video cards so expensive these days? I know they're used in "mining" or whatever but why does that specifically need a video card?

Either way it sucks for PC video game players and other people who need/want a good video card for video purposes.
