Great reviews for this tap and die set. Went in store to see different sizes, took the 75 piece set and 50 piece set to the register. 50 piece came to $129.99, 75 piece rang up 109.99. Store is located in Las Vegas. Link to show item that I purchased, and as always: YMMV.

I bought this great set about 2 years ago from Sears. Mine is from China. So unless they're moving manufacturing to Taiwan ...

I always look for a Taiwan tool instead of China when given the choice, How's it working out? The 'most helpful' negative review says it's junk...

Buy some left handed drill bits to extract your broken taps

I grabbed the big set when it was on black Friday sale for $99. Decent set for the average diy type or entry level tradesman, but definitely not pro grade stuff. Worth it for the price.

I use this set at work. Mine says gearwrench on it but its exactly the same set.

it works great just keep in mind it's carbon steel.. it'll do most stuff but don't try it on stainless steel, you'll ruin them.

Those are not the prices I see. The 75-pc has been $128.99 for a while, the 50-pc is $57.67.

I've got this set too. It's not junk though the overall quality doesn't strike me as top of the line or anything. I've broken one tap over the last two years but that was operator error. The Craftsman lifetime warranty specifically excludes taps and dies by the way.
