B&H is selling these for $299 today only, normally run for $425. Better than even Klipsch direct with their 10% off coupon.

I'm doing a full 7.2.4 system and was about to pull the trigger via Klipsch this morning before I did one final Google search and saw this sale. Doing these for my left/right/RLeft/RRight presence speakers all being driven by the Aventage 3070 I picked up on SD back in December. It's $10 only more at this price than the 240S, and this is a bigger and much better speaker.

TL;DR - Do it.

Just want to confirm before ordering, these are packaged individually, meaning I need to order a quantity of 2 for a pair?

I have these and oh wow do they add depth and immersion to the surround. Its so engaging and so much better than just one speaker in surround. My friend has a 7.1 system and I feel they are very close on the level of immersion.

Also my wife likes how they mount to the wall and don't look like eye sores like a regular surround sound block speakers look

I don't really have a budget per se - I just have a certain level of quality I'm looking for and wait until things go on sale since it's not a time-sensitive critical purchase.

I'm going for a complete Reference Premiere setup in my theater. It's about 20x20 and I pre-wired it for in-ceiling Atmos. I'm using an Emotiva A-300 to drive my front Klipsch RPs - the external power amp is required for that many channels on the full Atmos setup on the Aventage.

Dammit, now you're just making me antsy to get these installed.

Good thing Friday is a work-from-home day Applause

One thing I would recommend to preserve speaker life is to crossover to a sub (on dennon marantz this is listed as "small" under speaker config) 1 or 2 octaves higher than its lowest listed frequency response (e.g. if a speaker is listed as 40, cross over at 80hz or 160hz). I have some KEF Qs that look like they were kicked in.

Only issue i had with them was that they were only piano black, otherwise i would have pulled trigger.

Also looks dead now~

I thought the same. But since I will use the cover, so it won't make a difference for me. Pulled the trigger last night.

I have an ongoing surround sound thread here. I was originally looking for in-wall speakers for my two rears. How far out do these stick from the wall? Looks like about 8 inches? These might be a good alternative for me. I would put one in the corner between the love seat and sofa and one on the opposite wall to the right of the love seat.

edit: It also doesn't look like there is a track for speaker wire so if these are wall mounted do we need to have wire in the wall behind the terminals? Or put a little shim where the mounts will be to give space behind the speaker?

edit 2: will these pair well with RF-82 and RC-62? Or is there a cheaper model that is equivalent to that line?
