Same price at amazon with cheaper extended warranties...

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077ZL57HQ?tag=amz-mkt-chr-us-20&ascsubtag=1ba00-01000-org00-mac00-other-n... [amazon.com]

Is this a good set?

The price was $548, and it has now been $528 for almost a month at all stores around me. Seems like a good deal in general, but I've been waiting to see if the price would drop anymore. Some stores have 10 or 15 in stock, which seems like a large amount so I was hoping to see some type of discount soon.

Sound logic.

Would BestBuy price match this? There's a 10x points deal at BestBuy if you use Chasepay until 2/4. I'm tempted to pick one up.

On reddit, someone claims that the low screen quality is obvious: https://www.reddit.com/r/4kTV/com...d_is_this/

Does anyone have any knowledge about the quality of this display?

Target has 10% off Samsung's...use red card to get additional 5%. Would bring the 58" model 58MU6100 down to $512 BT.

Just avoid this model like the f*cking plague. Garage TV, maybe. Do not buy this as your solo TV.
4.5 out of five stars with just under 200 reviews on the Walmart site alone... Why avoid this?

Is this worth extra ~$180 for the extra 3 inches vs a 55" TCL?

Those are 200 people that probably are clueless about picture quality and just amazed that they have a "major brand name" for such a low price. Bottom model Samsungs are garbage they peddle to the masses who don't know any better. I have no respect for Samsung after their pitiful settlement of the capacitor failure class action lawsuit (gave only like six months to file claims and my tv died just outside of that)
