World of Warcraft: Legion sale $29.99

Blizzard is having a sale for existing World of Warcraft accounts to upgrade to Legion which is usually $49.99 USD. The lowest I've seen it personally is 24.99.

To my knowledge, this isn't advertised on the Blizzard or WoW website. I stumbled across it accidentally while managing my Overwatch account. Was contemplating reviving my own account and thought I'd share

Right before Legion came out they gave you WoD free. The new exspansion should be coming out soon so im asuming the will give out Legion for free right before again. So unless you really want to play legion right now this deal is kinda eh.

Thanks for the heads up. I believe the official launch date is on or before September 21st 2018.

From looking into it a little more since posting, this Blizzard promo is to push 4 of the 6 new Allied races (Nightborne, Void Elves, etc) available in the Battle for Azeroth, which are playable now as part of the Early Access bonus if you pre-order the new expansion. I personally ended up just buying legion on its own until I decide whether or not I want to go further

If you can wait, then wait.

The next expansion is out September this year, buying this now would let you play the current expansion until that occurs, once that occurs this will likely be free for everyone.

If you don't own this expansion this late in the cycle then you've likely taken a break from the game. All I am suggesting is extend that break until the next expansion actually ships. Save some money and get to jump into the next expansion with everyone else.

Just my 2c.

should re-write the title...at 1st i thought it was a sale on the 'newest" expansion that's coming out which is not. "sale for legion for "battle for azeroth" is kinda confusing since this has nothing to do with the new expansion.

Right, there's no reason to put Battle for Azeroth in the title.

I've played every expansion through to the end except this one.. I got sick of it almost immediately and haven't played again since.

I know you get a 110 boost with Azeroth.

Right now you still get a 100 boost if you buy Legion.

Question is if you wait for Legion to be free, will you get the 100 boost still? Because I want that extra boost when I want to come back.

No. Usually the last patch before a new expansion will remove the boost. The level 100 boost was removed about a month before Legion launched.
