i used this stuff, its alright for a simple shelf small shelf. do not do store pickup, go pick it up yourself because out of 10, 6 might have damage and lowes workers dont always dig through and pick out nice ones. my pantry was more of a 32 deep, so double upped on afew rows. In your case if you are good with a table saw, just chop it square down the middle creating two 97 by roughly 8 inch (obviously 15.75 divided by two + blade width wont be 8 but maybe 7.85 ish..) then cut the boards out to 16...should allow for 12 boards and you only need 8. doing it this way allows for you to always have a front that is white. Not sure you would need 3/4 in though with that small of a shelf. Something like that for under $20 dollars doesnt seem too bad.
