there is really no point of having a discrete graphics card as weak as MX150, you won't be able to play any game on it anyway. Either go for a 1060 or use the integrated GPU.

I don't have personal experience with this laptop, but I feel this could be a bit misleading for less experienced computer buyers. The video card is better than nothing, but advertising it as 4gbs, might give the impression that this is suitable for gaming. If you know the market, this is fine, because there are plenty of games that will run great with this, but the real popular games will struggle. It's advertised as an i-7, which is true, but this is a slow i-7. You could find faster i-3s. The storage is a HD instead of a SSD, a fast HD, but not a SSD. It looks like a great computer for the average use. The ram is really good. The HD is stated at 7200 rpm. It has a CD drive and USB C. It says it's touchscreen. I'd consider buying it for my parents or sister. The battery should last longer than a computer with the same battery and a faster processor or gpu. it definitely isn't a "gaming" computer and unless the portability and build quality is exceptional, it doesn't seem like a significant value.

Bad deal.

You can pick up a comparable 17.3" from the Dell Outlet for a much better price, ~$750 after coupon. Even less if you use a cashback site.

Pretty much the same specs. 17.3", touchscreen, i7-8550u, mx150, 16gb, etc.

Maybe even better because the Dells include an SSD. HP envy is a pain in the ass to upgrade to an SSD. Have to take the entire laptop apart.
