Warning: A majority of Pro controllers have faulty d-pads. There are forums about it. I didn't believe it so I bought one myself and lo' and behold, mine is defective. Got mine brand new and sealed on Amazon. It registers false presses. Someone RMA'd theirs 9 times and they all came back defective as well. It isn't a huge deal in games like Zelda but people are raising hell who want to play Tetris correctly.

But if you win the lottery and get a good d-pad, great deal!

Edit: I guess I shouldn't have said 'majority' since I have no data to back that up. I should have said 'large amount', based on what I've seen in forums. =D

A majority?! I don't think so.

Some are worse then others. A smaller amount have a REALLY bad one probably, like mine.

Can someone give me the cliff notes version of what a Nintendo switch is? Is it a handheld and a console game system?! I'm interested, but they seem to be pricey for just a handheld system. They seem to be selling at or above retail On OfferUp

TIA
It's a tablet system that can be used as a handheld or on your TV by putting it in the supplied dock.

I've had one since just after Christmas and am loving it. I'm playing it right now in fact.

My Pro Controller has not had a single issue.

It's a home console system that is portable. You dock it at home to project on your tv and remove it from the dock to take on the go. It's pricey because it's Nintendo and portable.

A majority is probably extreme, but I think there are probably more than we even know because of how spotty and intermittent the problems can be.

I bought 1, and noticed a weird ass delay only on a very specific set of menus within Zelda. Literally worked perfectly otherwise, in 4 other games, but when you switched items - there would be a 1-5 second delay. I spent days trying to figure it out, because it made no sense to me at all that it'd be the controller if it was only in those menus.

Ended up exchanging it, worked perfectly afterwards. I still have no understanding of how it was the controller that just didn't like a specific menu, but here we are.

That's absurd. You could always send it to Nintendo. My kid broke his regular Joy con controller twice and they repaired it shipped it twice at no charge.

so even if you did get one that's faulty, which is very unlikely with the quality control Nintendo has, I'm sure Nintendo would repair it
