Discover Checking Account Removed the Rewards as well. Not sure why Discover started removing all promotions and benefits.

That is the ONE thing that is staying . Purchase protection is not the same as Price Protection

"Due to low usage"

So it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. Here I'm thinking that as long as these features are not abused, it's a good thing. I always worry every time these great benefits are brought up and afraid of the SD effect. But apparently, we are not abusing them. Who would have ever thought was the reason?

I guess now Amex and Chase are going to hear a lot more from me. Let's see how they are going to respond to that.

I had the fortune of taking advantage of the Extended Warranty from Discover. I got $400 back for my Evga GTX780 that died prematurely after 2.5 years and all that went to a brand new Evga GTX1080 FTW2.

Ya right, WTH. If it's low usage then it shouldn't cost them much so why bother dropping it!?!?!

Drop it and it breaks or it gets stolen is purchase protection. Price is if it drops in price.

The problem here, there's always a first and the rest follow. Just like with airlines and extra baggage fees: Delta started, the rest followed within months.
