Better corded. It lasts longer. Last thing you need is your vacuum battery dying after a few years like your cell phone battery. Corded vacuum lasts you 10, 20 years

How does this compare with their last Shark Rocket TruePet vacuum deal?

Edit: Found this. Looks like they are almost same.
Anyone who missed the prior deal can jump on this if currently in market for vacuum cleaner.

Both models include one mini motorized brush, which is the piece that is marketed as what makes the TruePet good for pets. This DeluxePro doesn't include the "flexible extension wand," but it includes both a 12" Crevice tool and dusting brush instead of the the "duster crevice tool"

What this model lacks is the Duo Clean and the 'garage'. I bought my 1st Shark Rocket last week on Ebay & got the 380 model. Received it yesterday & so far I love it. I wanted the garage because it provides easy access to remove the roller & clean out any entangled human/pet hairs on the brush. Mine has the Duo Clean but I can't confirm yet if this feature is important. Different models of the Rocket come with different additional parts & it took me quite awhile to decide on the model I thought was best for me.
Hope this helps someone.

I bought the TruePet model (very similar) the last time they were on Meh for the same price and really like it. We have 2 shepard-ish mutts and this thing does an excellent job picking up their hair.

Any comparisons to the Dyson V6? I don't mind spending twice as much for Dyson ergonomics and quality, but I know Shark makes some solid products...I just don't know about their vacuums.

How does this work on carpets/area rugs? Wondering if I should go for a full size vacuum or this. We only have an area rug and one carpeted room.

We have the TruePet (similar model) and an older Dyson V6. The Dyson works great but the motorhead died and the battery only works long enough to do 1 floor. Replacing the motorhead was anywhere from $50-80 so we opted for the $100 corded Rocket and have been very pleased with it. I can actually take my time and do a thorough clean rather than rushing through because I don't know how much longer the battery will last.

The vacuum has two settings - one for bare floors & area rugs, and another for high pile carpet. Performs on all surfaces like a champ
