If you have multiple devices you want to control with one remote it's great. Do note that if you're using it with a roku it does have a slight delay vs the regular remote. It eats batteries for breakfast but other than that I have no complaints.

I have an older 650 and the batteries last a few months. My problem is that aftet a couple of years, some of the buttons have to be pushed really hard to activate. I can barely use the number buttons anymore.

I have two of these...and have used both for about 3 years. I've replaced the NiCd batteries in one...once...and have not replaced batteries in the other. Wonderful remotes, other than they are IR, not RF. These remotes have good heft, good button feel, and lighted keys. Main menu screen is fully programmable, and changes per your applications.

Totally agree. Use rechargeable batteries. For Roku I use the Roku remote. Nevertheless, it is worth it for me to control: DVD player, home theater audio, TV, Roku, FM.......

Does anyone have this working with Windows 10? I had a old 520 that I pulled out and tried to use with Windows 10. The software is the v7.7 Harmony software which is, I think, the same as what the 650 would use. I could not get the 520 to connect.

I have a receiver TV and a cable box. I have plugged all my peripherals into the receiver and the receiver goes to the TV. Can I use this remote to change the inputs on the receiver, change channels on my cable box and adjust volume. Also can it open apps on my smart TV? Tired of handling three remotes

Take it apart and clean the button contacts and pads with rubbing alcohol. Oils from your skin leech in and gum up the contacts. It'll work like new and only takes about 20 mins.

It sure can. You can program each button to do something for a piece of equipment. But the real power is using activities. You can press "movie" and have it auto turn on the TV, switch inputs, and control your main movie device. Super nice to use.

I do but it is old it technology. I can't imagine pointing a remote anymore. Once you go hub, there is no going back.

Like another poster mentioned, the buttons on this model get flakey. They work, but they just don't stay as responsive as they age.
