If you're shitting in a bucket, odor control is probably not high on your priority list.

$2 buckets with lid at Firehouse subs everyday.

YMMV/FYI.
Retired grocery store worker here: You can get these for free at your local big 3 GS if they have a 'service bakery'. Just ask cheerfully and you may get lids as well. They will be glad to get rid of them, less work for them especially if you volunteer to clean them(most empties were frosting/filling). Better to ask in late morning after their opening prep. As an added bonus, they have different sizes as well and are rated for food storage. These don't do well in the sun because of their plastic handles.

This is a decent deal, if you consider the seemingly similar Home Depot Buckets go for $3 each without a lid. I actually store alot of items around the house inside 5-gallon buckets, stacked atop each other.

Does anyone know whether Dicks includes a lid with these buckets?

Good question. You would think the description would mention it if it was included.

from one reviewer on their website:

"The lid is a normal bucket lid and the seat is light duty but it is comfortable. If the lid nubs are removed which allows the lid to open easier the lid and the seat should hold up well"

Not sure if the lid is included or not

I use the TidyCat litter buckets for storing non-food stuffs in my house. They stack amazingly well and are incredibly durable and since we have 2 cats (ugh) it seems we have an endless supply of buckets.

I wonder if they were talking about a generic bucket lid. There is some commonality, but not always.

Upon searching the Dick's website, I found that they sell the lids as well so it could be that they do not include a lid with the bucket.

Those are great buckets for storage, but they suck for mixing because of the square shape. I wish I had a few more for my smoker pellets.

I looked for the lid but it didn't come up when I searched. Can you link it?
