Interface TPL-410AP: 2 x 10/100 Mbps ports TPL-406E: 1 x 10/100 Mbps port

Maximum wired connection limited to the 10/100 ports they used..

I have been looking at buying a set of these recently. These are the ones I am looking at on Amazon for $5 more. I personally think they look better but some of the data, I just do not know what it means. Anyone with helpful advice, would be appreciated.

This one not only is a powerline adapter, but also a wifi extender. You hook the main unit up to your router and plug the other unit any other 110v outlet. You will have two hardwired ethernet connections and a wifi connection wherever you plug it in.The model you linked is a powerline only without wifi extender.

Ah thanks. Yeah I do not need the wifi extender part. I just want hardwire. Figured out recently that anytime you pull wifi, you will never reach max internet speeds offered. That is why I started looking into these.

Nope. The rest of your network will be fine.

Just got one. Needed it to service the TV I just got from Newegg last week. Looks like a good deal for a combo wi-fi/powerline extender. The best of both worlds.

These won't slow down your whole network. My experience with power line adaptors says you get about half of the max they claim. In theory you'd get about 250 mbps down this leg of your network.

It's like $5 cheaper, and it could be a bad model for all I know. Not sure why they sold so fast
