My worries about these is that you run out of space for Windows 10 upgrades.

There are many people with the netbooks with the 32 GB eMMC hard drive that run Windows 10. Many people are now reporting problems with not enough hard drive space to install newest 1709 version of Windows 10.

I bought one of these about two years ago, and am quite satisfied with it's performance. I use it with a PC monitor that includes integral speakers, and a wireless keyboard (that includes a touchpad).

In regard to having enough space for Windows 10 updates: I have not had any space problems, but I use a utility that gives the option to remove older update downloads.

I have a brand new Lenovo Ideapad 120S bought on Black Friday.
I did not install anything on it.
I was able to do the Windows updates except for the latest 1709 updates. I was forced to do an in-place update using a USB flash drive created using the Media Creation Tool.
And, yes, I used the Disk Cleaner.

My experience has gotten me gun-shy about these devices.

The price is very attractive.

Welp, I have at least 6 of these same architecture devices (cpu, ram, storage) and zero problems ever updating them.

Use the disk cleaner, select system files and select windows updates and older windows installations. You'll get an error that you won't be able to roll back the update. Its fine after that. IIRC I have 11-15GB of storage left. Bear in mind I don't have dozens of big apps installed.

You can also stick a microsd card in it and tell windows to extend the system space to use the microsd.

Try use Disk Cleanup from Windows 10 and then select clean up system files. Remove the old Windows installation files.

Lots of problems reported with the HP Stream and the Lenovo Ideapad 120S which the same architecture. I guess the key is not to install too many apps, but I had none installed.

I have managed to install Windows 10 1709 on the Ideapad 120S for the moment. Left with 14.13 GB of free space. Lost my free year of Office 365 as the apps are gone when I did the reset to factory settings. Not unusual based on what I have read on the internet. Sigh.

This is a brand new laptop with nothing installed, and I had the problems.

2gb ram is really a joke these days. I suppose if you are only using 1 app at a time it would be adequate

What 's the name of the software/utility you used to remove the older update downloads?

True, even cellphones have 4 GB.

Hi. My employer's IT guy told me about a Windows utility called Wise Care 365. I use on all of the Windows devices that I have.

Use the included Disk Cleanup utility, but you have to click "Clean up system files" which requires admin rights. You will likely have to remove previous versions of Windows and update files.

Someone tested a mini box with the same CPU using Kodi/XBMC and posted results here https://www.cnx-software.com/2015...ndows-8-1/

It should have enough processing power for H.264 10-bit 1080P anime though. (I have seriously never seen H.264 10-bit outside of anime, ever.)
