I have a crapload of Apple that I've held since Steve Jobs was fat. Is it finally time to let it go? The bloom seems to be finally off the rose. Or should I wait for some special dividend they might give out with the 100 bills or so they are repatriating.

hold they're going to kill it with a 6.1 inch lcd that makes people feel like they got a X

lcd will probably cost $699 and everyone and their moms going to upgrade

and a bigger X will sell off the charts even at $1300

It'd be a good time to look over your portfolio and adjust your asset allocation if you're overweight in one area or another. Would I sell all the Apple? Not necessarily. But, if it represents 20%+ of your portfolio you better believe I'd consider paring that back.

Not a financial advisor... just suggesting you not get too over-committed to one investment class, particularly an individual stock.

I'm leaning towards that. Maybe not all of it but half of it. I think they would have announced a special dividend during earnings if there was going to be one. They didn't. I think allocating it to other things would outperform Apple which tends to plateau for years at a time and go no where. We might be at another plateau as they transform from a iPhone centric business to a services model. Unless they have some super secret game changing product waiting in the wings. But that looks doubtful at this point.
