Pairing quality towers with bandwidth limited bluetooth is not the best way to spend your money IMO. If you only stream this likely is not a factor. Seems like a waste though.

That's a good discount. I mean I felt like it was overpriced to start with but I'm still surprised to see it cut that much already. Must not be selling well.

I agree. The price these companys charge for built in amps/powered is silly.

It does have optical, rca, and USB inputs so Bluetooth isn't your only option...

Yes and no. The Sixes use titanium tweeter paired with a better horn design, so they should sound better. However, they are also smaller and will never sound as big as the R-26PF towers do--although I can't really imagine a bookshelf speaker sounding (or being) bigger than The Sixes.

The obvious tech and form-factors aside, I'm really curious about how the R-26PF sound. I've been really underwhelmed with The Sixes. They look so good on paper, but they are tuned in such a weird way. The bass is just super exaggerated (although controlled at least) while the upper mid-range dips a bit (maybe to hide the horn sound?) making them sound pretty dark. Nevertheless, they are still very detailed speakers and are in another league compared to the cheaper R-15PM. I really wish Klipsch had just tuned them more like the Reference Premiere lineup instead of going bass crazy.

It makes me wonder if they did the same thing with R-26PF though. If they exaggerated the bass like they did with The Sixes then I feel like The Sixes are a clear winner. But if they left them more neutral like the R-15PM then I might just prefer them over The Sixes despite the loss of details do to the different tweeter design. The fact that the R-26PF use an active crossover like The Sixes though makes me bet that did some weird DSP stuff with it too and bet it sounds nothing like the R-15PM.
