4K Digital Movie: Groundhog Day $8 at FandangoNOW

Following the format of this former FP deal. Be aware there are some caveats, but $8 for 4K may make it worth it.

FandangoNOW [fandangonow.com] has Groundhog Day (4K UHD Digital Movie) on sale for $9.99 - 20% off with code 4K18 = $7.99. Be sure to select the 4K Ultra HD Tab when purchasing.
Note: If you own this title already in HD at VUDU FN won't let you buy UHD unless you do the following:

1. Unlink your UV account from FN.
2. Try to buy the UHD of the movie. (It won't let you)
3. Hook your UV account back up
4. Buy the UHD of the movie
(Won't work if the original HD movie was purchased on FN/Mgo/Viggle)

Also note, Vudu does not have this title in UHD soit won't transfer to Vudu in UHD but it will be UHD in your UV locker. On FandangoNOW 4K Ultra HD playback requires a Roku 4 or an LG or Samsung 4K Ultra HD capable TV. I assume newer 4K Rokus would work also.

Thanks AL

Unless you really need the 4K for this 1980s movie the HDX Vudu disk to digital for $2 is a better deal.

Sorry it set off your alert. Didn't tag that so not sure why it would. i guess if you have it set for any mention you'd get plenty of non deal alerts, but thanks.

There was just a 4K release. Some people do like anything 4K but probably wasn't a great post.

But don't you need to own the Blu-ray first?

Actually there was just a rerelease in 4K so the quality could be ok.

Well what do you mean? Roku was mentioned in the text, not as part of the deal. Why it set off your Deal Alert I don't know. But my point is if it goes off anytime Roku is mentioned it will go off a lot for non deals as people talk about it all the time. But again, thanks for TDing for that.

I would like someone to tell my why the TD? This is a remastered 4K. It was just posted for $2 higher on iTunes and its getting TU. Previous 4K deals from FandangoNOW go front page but people TD this? smh

Obviously a bunch of pilers ons. People make the iTunes thread popular for this exact same movie for $2 more but thumb down this. Maybe it doesn't deserve TU but certainly not TD. If your friend had posted it like he did the others it would be FP.

I own the 4k Blu Ray and the new remaster is amazing. If you are a fan of the film and can do 4k, go that route at least.
