Paid $10 for mine, but they were at $5 other stores

I also bought a smoke tube from Amazon for around $10 to add extra smoke since my pellet smoker has a PID that keeps temps rock solid and therefore very little smoke

if people buy these at regular prices, then Walmart won't have a need to mark them down... although, most of the markdowns occur late summer in any event

it's a hexagonal one 12", the company doesn't sell them anymore but there are others on amazon and they are all the same... you get about 5hrs of smoke from them but you have to make sure you light them up really good. i use a mapp gas/propane torch for that, but there are plenty of other methods

i was actually surprised how well it work. constant thin blue smoke.

another good thing about them is you can burn a different wood in the tube to what is in the hopper of the smoker. changing pellets in my hopper is a pain, so this makes it easier (although the smoke will obviously be blended)

not sure if the square ones work as good, i can't see why it wouldn't, i see one listed for $9

I have an a-maze-n tray, but I have looked at the tubes a couple times now too. Only wish the tray fit in my smoker better. It was designed for the gen 1 MES, and i have a gen 2.5, so it doesn't fit as neatly as it did in those. ,75" less wide and it would...

get the masterbuilt cold smoker, attach it to the MES with a 3 inch hose, and perfect smoke for hours on one refill.... a-maze-h stuff is ok, if you keep it lit...only issues I have had with the $50 cold smoker is a bit of paint softness inside the tube, easily fixed though. that's the way to go...

I've thought about doing a mailbox mod on it. But not having issues with the amazen after getting used to it. Microwave the pellets, get it going good with the blow torch and a heat gun, all good.

$50 for the cold smoker... I only paid $45 for the MES laugh out loud
