I got this set last fall on clearance for $30 and have been really happy with the quality. They all get used heavily and still look like new. Nonstick coating seems really robust and food still just slides off.

I picked up a set earlier this week. Found a few boxes up high in the wrong part of the isle.

Be aware that this set does have issues if not cared for properly. No metal utensils and don't use the heated dry (if you use the dishwasher at all). With proper care this is a good set of nonstick cookware.

Basically he is saying this "deal" isn't worth getting cancer from the Teflon in the future.
From Cancer.org "Other than the possible risk of flu-like symptoms from breathing in fumes from an overheated Teflon-coated pan, there are no known risks to humans from using Teflon-coated cookware. While PFOA is used in making Teflon, it is not present (or is present in extremely small amounts) in Teflon-coated products."

My comment was so you can retain a nonstick surface without ruining it. Unless you're leaving an empty pan on the burner, you should be fine regarding Teflon coatings.

I think what you're referring to is the 12-piece set. This is the 16 piece, before Christmas these sets were all stacked up selling for $150-120.

3 available locally @55, but a further away it's 25. I still prefer cast iron, but this is a heck of a deal. Repped for the brickseek link in the OP.
