Both the top and bottom outlet are on the same wire. Other outlets in the same room are also on that same wire (ie. coming from the same breaker). Outlets in adjacent rooms may also be on the same wire. So it's really not a big deal to split it 3 ways at 1 outlet. In other words, you are already doing something similar by plugging stuff into different outlets on the same breaker.

I think it depends how much power you are using. If you use three heavy amperage devices you can cause a breaker to pop.

1 plug into 3. You have 3 devices pull the power from 1. Is this dangerous?

You realize extension cords have done this for decades?

I just bought one for 1.67 at Home Depot. But yes, 27 cents makes this a deal.

Just think about power strips. They turn one outlet into 6-8 plugs. Does that seems any more dangerous?

True these are cheap at a hardware store... but for 1.27 amazon will bring it to me and give me a dollar slow ship credit. Win. Thanks and repped OP!

These are really handy when you don't quite need an extension cord, eg to hook up several lamps on one switch.
