In the future I plan to be in the market for some faux panels, so I'm curious what peoples' thoughts are on these.

The original price is far more than what fauxpanels.com advertises, but this Home Depot deal beats fauxpanels.com's typical ~$100/panel rate.

Does anyone have any experience to comment on either of these products or the pricing?

They work well, and are nice for what they are (stone veneers). Hold up well on the one project/wall I've used them with. Good prep of surface was key, and the cuts are best made with a fine tooth saw (like a back saw) to get things just right. I did all by hand but instructions said circular saw was okay to use (I had some fine corners to do). Even with the time for good prep (flat/true/waterproof), it went up quick and was cost effective.

Be sure to account for trim/edge pieces in your planning and budgeting as exposed cut edges look ugly as the surface color doesn't go all the way through piece.

I did a full wall turned a corner and went 4 more inches with a with porcelain tile that was about 12 x 4. I beveled the corner tiles at a 45 and it turned out pretty good. It looks like a 4 inches thick stacked stone wall if you don't know what you're looking at.

If I'm calculating correctly, this is $88 for 8 square feet, or $11/sq ft.

Floor and Decor has stacked stone at $5-10/sq ft [flooranddecor.com], plus has corner pieces avail.

Am I missing something?
