I want this, but it doesn't make sense to me so mb someone else can explain. I never sleep on a mattress pad... I always sleep on my sheets.... So why does it matter if the pad is 500 thread count or 200 thread count?

I wonder the same thing. But maybe has to do with overall quality of the fabric (wear rating???)

I'm looking for a mattress pad to make my mattress more comfortable, but I wonder how thick/padded it is, especially compared to something to half its price, like the BeautyRest cotton pad.

I have never used a topper pad. Pros and cons versus a memory foam type?

Anyone compared this to the beautyrest black mattress topper for $23 at costco by any chance?
