Arguably the best game on Switch. While I really loved Breath of the Wild as well, Mario Odyssey is something else. Nowadays, I only play games casually, very rarely do I buy new releases (maybe once or twice a year, sometimes none), but when I played Mario Odyssey, it literally brought tears to my eyes because it reminded me of how great video games can be.

Concur with the previous comments, loved it. My 10yo and I have spent dozens of hours in the past 2 months exploring and still not done yet.

For costco members, it is always available for $49.99

Wasn't sure what to expect from this game, but it's effing AWESOME. Brilliant level design and some really clever gameplay mechanics.

Hoping to play with my wife, so I was wondering whether you play co-op mode with your 10yo or just hand off the controller? I think I remember reading that the co-op mode could make the game a little wonky with the camera

The main player (almost always my kid) controls Mario and I control his hat. I guess I sometimes had trouble hitting something because the auto-camera was on Mario, but it wasn't a big deal. IMO co-op mode was much more of an enhancement than annoyance. For two people who are into controlling the main character, you'll want to swap regularly because P2 is definitely a secondary role...
