Ive had these headphones for a little over a year. They are really nice and they sound great. However, there is a very common problem that happens and it happened to mine after about 8 months of use. The little plastic piece above the ear cups where the ear cups spin and pivot, this plastic piece breaks very easily. This does not affect the sound of the headphones, however it can prevent the ear cup from sitting firmly flat on your ear. This seems to be a very common issue. The headphones are great and seem to actually have a quality build feel aside from this one piece.

Is there an easy practical fix for this (like gluing it back together maybe)?

Same thing happened to mine. Garbage design. I don't know why they decided to use plastic for that, they should have used metal. I bought a pair of Sennheisers and never looked back

I tried different glues and several types of tape. Black electrical tape worked the best for flexibility and look. It works for a short while then, will come loose again during normal usage. It's just a bad, bad design. Just google it. Really disappointed in Sony for this design choice. They should be ashamed they are still selling these new with this inherent design flaw.

Yes this is what happened to me to, i tried some superglue and other types of glue and it didnt work too well and eventually came loose again. I was upset because aside from this I really like the headphones and they seem to be of solid build quality too except for this small piece on each side. I think the problem is maybe related to it being a thin small peice of plastic having 2 screws going through it.
