State e-file has never been included. I always mail my state. Had been looking for it to drop under $40 with no tax. Amazon charges tax. Thanks!

Good luck finding Deluxe + state for under $30. Usually seem to find the best price for TT near first part of Feb.

This doesn't even do investment gain/loss right? What does this version of TurboTax do that credit karma doesn't do?

It has all the forms for investment gain/loss, just isn't included in the "hand-holding" interview. Used it last year with several stock sales. Not an issue if you are able to fill in a form.

In the past I have bought TT. It comes with a filing normally but after the first one you have to pay for additional ones. Like $10 bucks more.

I keep posting this, because I hate to see people waste their money. Most people don't need anything complex, but even if you do, this version of H&R Block Deluxe is still free, including state and federal filing through the United Way if you make an AGI of under $66k.

He's a link to the IRS free file site with a tool to help you find other free file tools, and check eligiblity.

Lots of states, county, and municipal governments also offer free, in-person filing help with a CPA at various times during tax season.

Here's a tool to find in person help with in your area through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs.

When and where was that? In store, or online?
