Amazon S&S, what price am I really getting charged?

I raised this issue before, that Amazon seems to charge a higher price on S&S items when they actually ships. Other pointed out they subsequent shipment price does change to the latest price at the time. Fine, I could have missed the email confirmation before the entire S&S ships so I watched closely this time.

So I got on this Izzy soda deal here and got the initial email:

Order Summary
Item(s) Subtotal: $16.52
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Subscribe & Save: -$2.48
Your Coupon Savings: -$4.96
Total before tax: $9.08

and now I just got the before shipment email:

IZZE Sparkling Juice, Clementine, 8.4 oz Cans, 24 Count
Quantity: 1
Price : $14.04 (after 15% discount)

which matches the price as shown on the S&S status page of $13.59 + tax

btw, this is the first time I ordered this product on Amazon. So, which price am I actually getting charged?!

You pay the amount what your original order confirmation states, if it's your first shipment of that item.

Nevermind, since I'm paying by GC, the GC "charge pending" page does show the lower price will be charged.

That shipment confirmation email is confusing as heck though. If I wasn't paying by GC then I would still be confused on what price they will charge.

You can also look at your order history page, which should show the correct totals. For whatever reason, the "Review Your Monthly Subscription Delivery" email only shows the current price minus your S&S discount percent, and not necessarily the price you'll actually pay.
