If you have a Micro Center in your neighborhood, it's $229 (less another $30 when bundled with a motherboard)

Of course, if Newegg isn't hitting you with tax and Micro Center is, then it's a wash between $229+tax and $245.

Can someone recommend a ITX MB for this? I'm a n00b.

Also is there any reason not to go with ITX? I'm just using this for coding, and Shared file server.

Want the node 304 6 HD bays incase I decide to turn it into a NAS server later on.

The only reason to not get itx is the price. Most discounted z370 mobo I have seen are atx.
