1080 ti =/= $1600.

If you see it listed @ that price doesnt mean card automatically = that price.
Been picking up 1080ti SC through out the week @ $840. (newegg)

Solid monitors. Good warranty.

I've had this monitor for a year and a half or so and it's an absolute gem. If these are the specs you are looking for, snag it! I'm 100% happy with mine!

Perfect, been waiting for this to drop again. Just bought the 8700K from a week or two ago, and with this monitor my upgrade is finally all set. Perfect timing.

Sorry, should've been more clear, I got a 1080 Ti for ~$900,if I get this, it'll be $660 after taxes for a total of $1600.

So I could keep the 1070 Ti and get this monitor instead of the one 1080 TI...

So where is the best place to look for graphic cards? I know prices are astronomical, but I'm having trouble finding much in stock from reputable vendors.

Go to your local Best buy. I got the 1080 founders edition on January 26th for $589.99 plus tax, by talking to a rep and he placed the order for me, and I picked it up 3 days later.

i have this monitor

Pros:
  • 144hz is AMAZING. if you've never seen one, go to the store and check it out. it makes gaming so much better if you can get high enough FPS
  • IPS is great. This display is on par with my Imac and Macbook Pro retina screens. Everything is really vibrant, and it takes gaming to another experience
  • 1440p is perfect resolution for gaming. 4k is a little out of reach right now because gfx cards arent powerful enough to achieve 144 fps in AAA titles
  • 27" is perfect size for a gaming monitor.
  • Gsync is amazing. Even in heavy BF1 battles where my fps can drop under 60, i don't notice any stuttering at all. its crazy how good it is.

Cons:
  • Price tag. $600 is a lot for a monitor. you can buy a 55" tv for 600 dollars. Its still a great deal for this monitor since its new, as refurbished ones go for around 520-550. You can also get a non Gsync 144hz monitor for about $150 less with the same specs.
  • BLB (Back light bleeding) , IPS glow, stuck or dead pixels. Stuck or dead pixels is a lot less common in these monitors, but a lot of people complain about BLB and IPS glow. Basically when the screen is black youll notice that some areas are brighter than areas. personally i dont even notice it all. if you game a lot in the dark, keep an eye out for this and make sure you get one with very minimal BLB and IPS glow.
  • Youre gonna need a good video card to take full advantage of this. Pref a 1080, 1070ti or 1080ti. I have a 1080ti and I still dont get 144 fps in all areas of BF1.
  • The monitor stand is HUGE. if you have a short desk, its definitely going to be too close to your face unless you are willing to hang it off the desk a little. Not sure why they did it like this.

Another monitor that this gets compared to for a cheaper price is S2716DG from Dell. Its this monitor without IPS. I've had both and I would highly recommend this over the dell for $200 more. Dell has many issues of its own, being TN looks a little washed out (no matter how good they are) and pixel inversion (seeing lines when you are moving or scrolling)
